LightBurn Core Issues (User Reported)
1. Laser Auto-Detect Failure
Issue: Lightburn did not find the laser using the auto detect feature.
User Action: I used the manual install and the #7 file from the plug folder. The setup appears to be correct now.
2. Random Job Stops Mid-Process
Issue: Lightburn just stops at random points throughout the job.
User Workaround: I then have to pick a spot within the display and “start from this point”. In this last job, I had to restart it from various places 3 or 4 times on each side.
User Feedback & Resolution
Gentlemen, after a few discussions with Google Gemini, I found this little nugget of info.
This is different than the Control Panel topics discussed earlier.
Resolution Applied: I’ve made the noted changes to all USB Root Hubs, and it seems have to fixed the issue.
Post-Fix Result: I’ve run 2 successful jobs from beginning to end so far and there are more on the machine.
If this doesn’t fix it, I’ll let you know, but so far, I’m cautiously optimistic.
Computer “Sleep” Settings
Even if your screen stays on, Windows or macOS often tries to be “helpful” by cutting power toUSB ports to save energy.
The Fix: * Windows: Go to Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers. Right-clickevery “USB Root Hub,” select Properties > Power Management, and uncheck “Allow thecomputer to turn off this device to save power.
Power Plan: Set your computer to “High Performance” mode while lasering.
